Nepal Vacation: Adventure of a lifetime

Hello, all you adventure lovers and adrenaline junkies! Nice to know that you are planning your vacation in Nepal, for some ADVENTURE! Let me tell you something, you have an excellent taste! As in Nepal, a trip always is, way beyond just a trip!

Just like the geographical diversity of Nepal, the adventure here is also so diverse. You can find adventure everywhere; on land, in water or in the air, anything that suits you. So, get ready for the groove!

Defy the Gravity:

Yeah that’s right; I am talking about Bungee and Swing from 160m above the Bhote Koshi river. Just standing on the bridge and looking down would make some people crazy!

Not bragging, but this is one of the longest free- fall and 10th highest bungee in the world. You will be jumping off the longest suspension bridge in Nepal into one of the scariest and the most beautiful tropical gorges.

For all the adventure- hipsters who think Bungee is too main stream, you guys have a treat. Canyon Swing it is- the largest rope canyon swing in the world, 100 m free fall up to 6 seconds, 240 m arch of swing going up to 150 km/hour; what else could you ask for!

In Rolling Waves:

For all you white-water enthusiasts, Nepal has the world’s most thrilling whitewater rivers. The rapids ranging from Class I to Class VI (based on the difficulty), meets everyone’s needs.

Depending on where you would want to go, you can choose rivers from West to East of Nepal like Karnali, Kali Gandaki, Seti, Marsyandi, Trisuli, Bhote Koshi, Sun Koshi, Dudh Koshi, Arun and Tamur. The duration of rafting packages also vary from 1 day to 11 days. My personal recommendation is Class IV for white- water Rafting/ Kayaking/ Canoeing.

Fun fact: National Geographic ranked Sunkoshi River 7th in their Top 10 list of rivers for Whitewater Rafting.

Go Airborne:

In my opinion, the closest you could get to flying would be Paragliding. You can do it from Pokhara (most popular), Kathmandu and Bandipur. You can go for tandem flights, courses, flying tours and even Para- trekking. So, just take off and fly.

Now, for all you extreme people, I present (drum-roll) … Zipflyer. Yes, it is officially the world’s most extreme Zip- line. ‘How?’ you may be wondering, let me tell me tell you how- 1,800 m long, 600 m vertical drop, max speed of 120 km/hr and 2 minutes of non-stop action pack ride. Yeah, now isn’t that extreme!

Conquer the Land:

If you think that Trekking/ Summiting is not adventurous, I am sorry to tell you this. You are SO WRONG!

The majestic mountains and the mesmerizing landscape of Nepal have made Nepal a popular trekking destination. Trekkers who have been to Nepal, most of the time, come back to get more of this beautiful yet addictive country.

You will have a lot of trekking options depending on the duration and difficulty. The most popular treks would be: Everest Region, Annapurna Region, Langtang Region, Manaslu Trek, Mustang Trek, Kanchanjunga Trek, Makalu Trek, Ghandruk Trek and Rara Lake Trek.

Who was the first person to climb Mount Everest?

Another way of conquering the land would be on mountain bikes. If you are into cycling, you would be more than pleased to paddle through different parts of Nepal.

Finally, I would like to say – Have an adventurous vacation in Nepal! But stay safe!
